Tauranga Sports Junior Rugby

Tauranga Sports Junior Rugby Club caters to young players from Little Raptors (3 years old) through to Under-13s, making it one of the largest junior rugby clubs in the Bay of Plenty. The club has transitioned to using NZ Rugby’s new platform, Rugby Xplorer, for registrations and member management.

Games are played at various venues including Arataki (U6-U7 on Saturday mornings), Blake Park (U8-U10), and the Domain (U11-13). The club emphasizes continuity for existing players and thoughtfully places new children with others from the same school when forming teams. With over 20 teams across different age grades, the club is committed to developing young rugby talent in a supportive, family-friendly environment.

The club offers comprehensive coaching development through Small Blacks courses for all coaches and assistant coaches. Registrations for the 2025 season are open, and the club welcomes new players of all skill levels to join their thriving rugby community.
