Athletics Tauranga Inc
Athletics Tauranga is a Gold Status Accredited Athletic Club (one of only 20 out of 179 clubs in New Zealand) committed to providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy cross-country, road running, and track and field. The club operates year-round with winter programs featuring pack runs, cross country events, and the popular Tauranga Open XC.
Their home venue is Waipuna Park at the Tauranga Domain Athletics Track on Cameron Road. The club hosts major events including the Aotearoa Relays Festival and participates in regional competitions.
Activities include 9am Sunday pack runs and walks suitable for all fitness levels, handicap races, and relay events. The club has earned Gold Accreditation recognizing strong governance, inclusive programs for all athletes, accredited coaches, child safeguarding practices, and community investment.
Members can participate in everything from casual weekend runs to competitive national championships, with supportive coaching and a welcoming community atmosphere.
